as FRGS (pronounced “frogs”). FRGS was organized
in August 1993. We are located in Fredericksburg, Virginia. The

living as far away as California. Officers Our mission is
- to bring together people interested in Genealogical research and
promote fellowship and cooperation among them be they a beginner or a
professional
- to collect, preserve and disseminate genealogical knowledge and
information
- to stimulate and provide instruction in the use of proper methodology
and adherence to standards of accuracy and thoroughness in research

We are currently meeting the
second Wednesday of each month (no meeting in July & December) at 7:00pm at the Salem Church Library here
in Fredericksburg, Virginia. To get to the library (from town) take
Rt. 3 west to Salem Church Road and turn left.
The library is about a mile or so on the left.
Go in the front door; we usually meet in one of the rooms on the
left. Meeting times and place
are subject to change, so if you are coming from out of town you might
want to call someone to check. We occasionally do field trips to the downtown library when
they are having a program that pertains to genealogy also.
